January Unwind @ The Holland Museum

January 10, 2008
5:30 pm

For the first Unwind of 2008, HYP is digging up the past…at the Holland Museum. The Holland Museum features permanent exhibits on Holland’s history “from settlement to city” and over 400 years of Dutch History in their Dutch Galleries. Built in 1914, on the former Post Office site, The Holland Museum houses a fascinating collection of artifacts. Exhibits focus on the story of the early Dutch settlement and its development into a thriving and diverse city.

Join your fellow HYP “Dutch” for free admission, refreshments, networking and a lesson in Holland History! Museum membership and donor information will be available onsite to support this important part of Holland’s history. To study up or for more information on The Holland Museum visit www.hollandmuseum.org. The Holland Museum is located at 31 West 10th Street in Downtown Holland across from Centennial Park.

Don’t forget your Power of One item, BODY LOTION, for an extra chance to win a one-year Museum Membership! Kudos to you! Last month over 100 sets of mittens, hats, scarves were collected at the Warm Up to Winter to keep area children toasty warm during the frigid Lakeshore Winter!

We will have a buffet of appetizers from 7p.m.-9 p.m. and will be having live music from 8p.m.-11.pm. Cost for this event will be 20 dollars per person or 40 per couple with any remaining money if there is any being donated to the campaign. We will be doing a toys for tots to show our commitment to our community so everyone bring an unwrapped toy. I’m also having a few drawing’s for Ron Paul stuff. I have a meet up member making me some Ron Paul winter hats they are really cool. WE need everyone that is attending to bring a tea bag with their name on it for the drawing. I think the barrels you mentioned would be a great Idea so we can put the tea bags in their for the drawings. We need someone to bring a video recorder, I have one if no one else does. I would love someone to youtube the video for the campaign if anyone knows how. We will need at least 2 volunteers to sit at the door and collect the money, I’m sure I can come up with those. If anyone has any questions, suggestions, or ideas feel free to email me. Lets make this big we are inviting David Paul and have sent invitations out to County GOP Leaders in Kent, Ottawa, and Muskegon counties, as well as an invitation to Saul Anuis. Hopefully they will feel a need to come on out.
