Run, Larry, Run Personal Challenge - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Larry Erlandson is running the Tulip City Marathon and collecting donations in support of senior care services at Evergreen Commons. He has challenged the rest of us to walk in support of seniors and to encourage a lifetime of leisure activity through one of his favorite activities, walking. Larry is wishing for HYP to participate in the following capacities:
- Form a team and register to raise at least 30.00 per person (not a lofty goal) contact Abby Reeg to do so at 396.7100.
- We need race day volunteers to mark the course and act as crossing guards, registration specialists, and cheerleaders along the route. The event is Saturday, May 17 begins at 8:30 am, volunteers to report at 8am and serve for about 1.5-2 hours. There is talk of free lunch and T-shirts for volunteers at EC following the event, which in itself makes it worth it. EC food is delish.
