How long have you lived/worked in Holland?
Other than four years at Michigan State, I’ve lived here all my life. What besides being HYP do you like to do (Hobbies)? Basketball, going for hikes with my wife and our dog, reading (mostly business books), and travelling. What do you like best about HYP, or if you’re a new member, what drew you to HYP? I’ve been going to HYP events since the beginning, so I can’t remember what drew me at first (maybe because it was at New Holland Brewing Company?), but now I continue to go for the networking and e2e events.

    Name: Daniel Morrison

    Age:
    26
    Company: Collective Idea
    Occupation: Software Deveopment

How long have you lived/worked in Holland?
I came to Holland in 2000 to go to Hope College, then I started Collective Idea a bit after graduating, so I’ve been here 8 years.

What besides being HYP do you like to do (Hobbies)?
This time of year I’m a political junkie, but I’m suddenly finding myself in need of a new pastime.

What do you like best about HYP, or if you’re a new member, what drew you to HYP?
I’ve always enjoyed the Unwinds because you can hang out and meet people in a low-pressure environment. People are usually welcoming and easy to talk to.

Our President, Mr. Hill, is a funny guy; he’d like you to tell us a joke. He’s always looking to add to his own collection.
My joke-telling skills can’t compete with Mr. Hill, so I’ll go lame:

What’s brown and sticky? A Stick!
